Paediatric First Aid Course

This paediatric course is developed for those caring for children in the absence of their parents. The course meets the requirements for registered early year’s providers or anyone working with EYFS children.

Bellatrix First Aid Training deliver this cost effective two day first aid course as a registered centre with Qualsafe Awards. We can run courses in‐house or at our chosen training venue on a day and at times to suit you.

Course Overview

  • Aims of first aid and priorities of treatment
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use of AED
  • Treatment of choking
  • Care of an unconscious casualty
  • Treatment of shock and bleeding
  • Head injuries
  • Treatment for Asthma
  • Dealing with Anaphylaxis
  • Burns, scalds and poisons
  • Treatment for bone fractures
  • Effects of heat and cold
  • Meningitis
  • Accident reporting requirements

The benefit of completing one of our courses include a regulated first aid qualification accredited by an Ofqual recognised Awarding Organisation, up‐to‐date support materials to take away and subject to final assessment, a certificate valid for 3 years plus each candidate receives an individual plastic credit card sized copy.

 

We deliver high standards of training, achieved through our qualified trainers, most of whom have gained years of experience in first aid within the emergency services or in busy A&E or Paediatric units.
